The factory and operations in Motherwell are flourishing, having benefited from new management techniques, investment in modern equipment and the introduction of state-of-the-art window profile systems. Presently, Walker Profiles manages some 40,000 of North Lanarkshire Council's properties and has built up a large portfolio of clients in the private residential and construction sectors. The company continues to develop its presence in new markets such as housing renewal programmes in which replacement windows and doors are key elements.

The success of this venture led to the acquisition under the Government's PPP of a similar operation from South Tyneside Council in 2004.
